  • How to install and setup a Furrion Chill® dip switch

  • There could be several reasons for this to happen to your AC unit. One of the first things you should do is check for any air leakages between the supply and return air sides. Other common problems include the duct divider not being properly sealed, the room temperature sensor not being placed appropriately, or your air filter being too dirty to function properly. If you need help with your AC unit because you think it is not functioning properly, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with a specialist.

One possible solution for this is to try running the indoor fan on the AC at all times - even during heating. This is to ensure an even spread of temperature and more accurate thermostat readings.

If your rooftop RV air conditioner keeps switching itself off, this could be because the temperature outside is too low, triggering the thermostat-controlled switch. Alternatively, all the air nozzles might be closed causing an issue. If neither of these seems to be the cause of your problem, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

If your rooftop RV AC unit is not functioning as well as you like, there may be several root causes. Before anything, you could double-check that your rooftop air conditioner is set to the cooling mode. Secondly, check that you cannot set the temperature on the air conditioner any lower. Apart from this, here are some possible problems and solutions. -
Your air intake grills may be blocked or obstructed, preventing the RV AC unit from functioning as intended. To solve this, remove any leaves or other dirt from the ventilation grills on the top of the rooftop air conditioner.
    - Your blower may also be defective. If you believe this to be the case, please contact an authorized service agent or Furrion directly.
    - The evaporator is another potential cause of this problem, as it may have been damaged. If this is the case, you will need to contact an authorized service agent or Furrion.
    - Lastly, the condenser fan is another component that, if damaged, will cause issues like this. Like other damaged parts, please contact a service agent or Furrion.

If water is entering your camper as you use the AC unit, there may be a blockage in the water drainage openings for condensation to escape. You can try to clean up these drainage openings first but, if there is no improvement, you may have broken seals. Should this be the case, you will need to contact an authorized service agent or Furrion.

There are several possible causes for this:
    - First, your supply voltage might not be connected properly. Try checking the power supply before suspecting other issues.
    - Alternatively, the voltage supplied to your rooftop 12V DC air conditioner might not be sufficient to power it. If you suspect this to be the case, please contact an authorized service agent or Furrion for a solution.
    - Lastly, the fuse might have blown. You can check the electrical fuse of the power supply for this.
