The powerful, aerodynamic Chill Cube 18K RV rooftop air conditioner by Furrion has been engineered with variable speed compressors to increase cooling efficiency and lower operating noise. With a cooling system designed to work even better when it’s hotter, this robust capacity camper AC unit delivers ample cooling in the hottest of climates and will cool down quickly — even when outside temperatures reach 105°F. Additionally, the variable capacity system adjusts for the perfect feel under any temperature conditions, increasing to tackle the highest heat and reducing to eliminate freeze-up from cold damp air.
Quiet & Continuous Operation
With variable speed compressor technology, this RV air conditioner was designed for powerful cooling, unbeatable energy efficiency and nearly noiseless operation. Rather than running at one speed and cycling on and off, the variable speed compressors change their speeds based on the amount of cooling needed in your campervan. This means the compressors do not continuously make abrupt noises while turning on and off to maintain a consistent temperature. Additionally, variable speed compressors can softly ramp up to speed, meaning they do not use excessive amperage and won’t trip circuit breakers, which eliminates the need for aftermarket soft start devices and allows for great generator flexibility. Even at low speeds, you will experience better dehumidification with this camper air conditioner due to the compressors that run continuously and filter out clammy air.
Compact, Aerodynamic & Ready for the Road
The air distribution box (ADB) on the Furrion Chill Cube 18K is low-profile and more compact than an average RV air conditioner. For non-ducted models, the ADB unit projects air forward with an industry-first oscillating vent. It spans a greater width than standard air distribution boxes, which means better airflow and comfort throughout your RV or van. Meanwhile, the aerodynamic design of the air conditioner on the roof allows for less wind drag and better fuel economy on the road, while leaving room for pop tops and roof-mounted solar panels.
